Speakers covered several subjects, including essential components of supportive housing programs, financing, property management, the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, and development of permanent supportive housing. Speakers discussed benefits and services available to the families of the Guard and Reserve, and how unit-based initiatives help ease the stresses of combat troops. - Integrating Service Reports for Better Case Management
This session focused on the importance of integrated reporting when working with homeless clients who receive counseling and support services from multitude of offices or agencies. - Incarcerated Veterans – Effective Transition Preparation and Support
Presenters gave an overview of successful transition programs and provided information to help social workers and case managers develop better communication and intervention strategies to help veterans with criminal histories. - Department of Labor Programs

- Participating in the CHALENG/CoC Processes
This panel gave an overview of Continuum of Care, Supportive Housing Program, possible strategies to improve funding, and discussed how the HUD-VASH program will affect availability of housing opportunities for homeless veterans in different parts of the country. - OIF/OEF Early Intervention and Prevention of Homelessness
Discussion focused on the more prevalent physical, mental and emotional wounds of returning veterans, as well as programs such as the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program, which provides National Guard and Reserve members and their families with information, services, and outreach opportunities through the deployment cycle.
