Office Manager

Organization:
The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.

Position:
NCHV is seeking a dynamic, full time Office Manager with 3-5 years of previous administrative experience to fill this position and support the program activities of the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. This hard working, collaborative individual will be an active and integral member of the NCHV team. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and good judgment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage membership database and online listings
• Offer compassionate, accurate referral services to veterans in crisis
• Plan and staff quarterly Board of Directors meeting
• Assist in planning and management of annual national conference
• Organize office operations and procedures
• Liaise with NCHV Members and Board Members
• Review and monitor supply requisitions, purchasing, and receiving
• Open, organize, and distribute mail
• Manage donations/gifts/contributions
• Offer administrative assistance to Executive Director, as needed.

Skill Requirements:
• Familiarity with eTapestry highly preferred 
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
• Ability to maintain and update filing systems
• Effective verbal, listening, and written communications skills
• Effective organizational skills
• Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing programs
• Dedicated commitment to the goals and mission of NCHV

Physical Demands:
The Office Manager/Administrative Assistant will often spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The Office Manager/Administrative Assistant will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. He/She is located in a busy, open area office and is faced with regular interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis. NCHV is an EOE.
