Webinar on Working with Your Local Continuum of Care
Thursday, May 21, at 2 p.m. ET
The Continuum of Care (CoC) is the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded group that implements homeless programs in your area. The CoC incorporates entities such as community leaders, Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs), faith-based organizations, and local business leaders in the homeless system planning process.
CoCs engage and develop partnerships with any entity in their area who serves homeless individuals, including veterans. CoCs are increasingly looking to employment and sustainability as performance measures. This webinar will explore how HVRPs can coordinate with their local CoC to create better linkages, coordination of services, and employment outcomes.
In this webinar we discussed the role of the CoC, the collaboration with HVRP and explored how homeless veterans can benefit through stronger partnerships. Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) facilitated the presentation and discussion. Guests included several CoC representatives.
