The National Veterans Technical Assistance Center (NVTAC) is hosting the webinar “Prevention Partnerships for Young Veterans: Local Veteran and Homeless Programs and Resources” on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 2:00 pm EDT.
When younger veterans need support or want to engage with the veterans’ community, they often reach out to non-traditional networks. These networks include student organizations, health/fitness groups, advocacy organizations, and community service agencies that allow them to both receive services and give back to their communities. These organizations may be the first connection point to services for homeless or at-risk veterans. In this webinar you’ll learn about a number of these organizations, what they do, how they do it, and how you can connect with them on the local level.
This webinar features guest speakers from Back on My Feet, The Mission Continues, Student Veterans of America, Team Red, White and Blue, and Team Rubicon.
