Webinar – Serving Younger Veterans

Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm EDT

The NCHV NVTAC is hosting the webinar "Serving Younger Veterans" on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Veterans of the post-9/11 era are engaging in social services differently than their predecessors, thus service providers must adapt outreach techniques in order to reach this cohort. This webinar will focus on effective techniques for outreaching to post-9/11 veterans from a post-9/11 veteran who is also an expert in the field of veteran services. We will look at "outside the box" techniques  that will allow you to reach a generation of veterans who are not accessing the VA or joining veterans organizations at the rate of previous generations, even with health and other issues manifesting at an accelerated rate. Rebecca Starr from Advocates for Human Potential will facilitate the webinar.
