VA’s GPD program announces the availability of approximately $50 million in CARES ACT

Notice of Funding Opportunity

Today, VA’s Grant and Per Diem (GPD) Program announced the availability of approximately $50 million in CARES Act funding for the renovation, acquisition, or construction of GPD transitional housing to improve personal safety for Veterans, reduce risks associated with close-quarters living and increase the availability of individual unit style transitional housing.
For purposes of this capital grant, eligible applicants are current GPD Per Diem Only (PDO) transitional housing grantees.

NCHV wanted to ensure a reduction of barriers for providers and has been able to achieve waivers of both recapture, and of financial matching through advocacy for funds secured in the CARES Act.

Applications are due no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on May 25, 2021. Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)
