NAVPA Set to Hold 34th Annual Conference
Posted: 9/15/2009
The National Association of Veterans' Program Administrators (NAVPA) is set to hold its 34th annual conference in St. Louis, Missouri. The event, titled "Gateway to the West for Education," will take place October 18-25 at the Sheraton St. Louis City Center Hotel. Four aspects will be focused on: unity, fabled service, communication and knowledge for serving veterans. But above all, this will be an opportunity for attendees to get to know other program administrators from near and far who are serving veterans.
This year's conference will feature training on the rules and procedures for certifying veterans under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Other sessions will look at Vocational Rehabilitation and On the Job Training programs. There will also be speakers from the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs on hand.
Discounted rates for both the conference and single or double rooms at the Sheraton St. Louis City Center Hotel & Suites are in effect until September 27. College and university administrators, certifying officials and veterans' program managers are encouraged to attend.
Questions about the October conference should be directed via email to Josie Adams.
