NAEH Shows Strategies of Rapid Re-Housing Demonstration Grantees
Posted: 9/23/2009
The National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) has posted summaries of strategies used by eight of the 23 communities that received grants under the Rapid Re-Housing Demonstration. In 2008, $25 million was allocated by Congress in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of Rapid Re-Housing programs to reduce family homelessness. This funding is going toward short- or medium-term rental assistance, housing location assistance and home-based case management.
NAEH intends to publish more detailed information about the communities that received grants in the coming months, since "rapid re-housing is taking root as the leading strategy in addressing family homelessness."
