Free Mental Health Services for Those Affected by OEF/OIF

Posted: 9/28/2009

Give an Hour is a nonprofit organization that provides free mental health services to U.S. military personnel and families affected by the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Its mission is to develop national networks of volunteers capable of responding to both acute and chronic conditions. This is achieved by asking mental health professionals to literally donate an hour of their time each week.

The Give an Hour homepage features two important links: a basic provider search, which connects service seekers with registered and available providers in the area, and a guided provider search, which involves a series of questions to determine the most appropriate provider.
