VA Offers H1N1 Flu Page, Vaccines

The VA has provided a page dedicated to the H1N1 flu (formerly swine flu). The page provides general information about the flu and flu prevention, as well as an H1N1 self-assessment tool. Additionally, the VA has made the following announcement regarding vaccines:
This year, VA hopes to give more than 3 million veterans and VA staff seasonal flu vaccine and is preparing to give H1N1 flu vaccine to a similar number of veterans and VA staff, if it is approved for use. At the request of the White House, VA is also preparing to help vaccinate some other federal employees as well.
Veterans with health concerns can contact their nearest VA medical facility or call the VA toll-free at 1-800-827-1000.
