SAMHSA’s Co-Occurring and Homeless Activities Branch Launches New Site

The Co-Occurring and Homeless Activities Branch (CHAB) of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has launched a new website at http://chab.samhsa.gov/. Through the site, CHAB hopes to help build and support a learning community that brings together stakeholders to advance and improve the care of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or co-occurring disorders.
SAMHSA grantees, health professionals and the general public should find the site’s resources, news and interviews to be useful. The site also features a function that allows users to search for CHAB grantees by state (see the “Grantees” tab).
CHAB has “a vision of systems of care for persons experiencing co-occurring disorders and persons who are homeless,” which it pursues in the following ways:
