Attendant services (help with eating, dressing, toileting, moving from wheelchair to bed, etc.) are the cornerstone to community based services for people with severe disabilities.  ADAPT is working to get 25% of the Medicaid long term care funds redirected to pay for a national, mandated attendant services program.

Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator

The Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator lists private and public facilities that are licensed, certified, or otherwise approved for inclusion by their State substance abuse agency and treatment facilities administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Indian Health Service and the Department of Defense.

Supportive Housing and Its Impact on the Public Health Crisis of Homelessness

These results from a study conducted by independent researchers from the
Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley, show
a significant relationship between supportive housing and its effects on tenants’
health and attendant health care costs.  This report shows that for the more than 250 tenants who were given the opportunity to move from the streets or shelters to Canon Kip Community House and the Lyric Hotel in San Francisco, emergency room use decreased by 58 percent.  For those residents who stayed housed at least one year, the number of days in the hospital decreased by 57 percent.
