Veterans living in the streets or in their vehicles face high barriers to receiving services. Lowering barriers to access services is a critical challenge providers face in this space. In this webinar, we will explore three key approaches to connect veterans living in the streets with services like housing and healthcare: VA mobile medical units (MMUs), stand downs, and safe parking programs. This webinar will offer insights into how these approaches work and how they can implement them in their communities.

Interventions for Military to Civilian Transitions | Aug 26 | 2pm ET

A person exiting the military faces a lot of new responsibilities as they enter civilian, from housing, bills/finances, employment, etc. Having to learn all these new life skills can be overwhelming for a veteran to put into practice. This webinar will explore how providers can offer early interventions to assist transitioning service members to gain access to housing and employment. We will also hear ways to support veterans in the long-term by assisting them with their financial planning and life goals.

Pathways for Veterans Leaving Incarceration | Sept 23 | 2pm ET

Veterans exiting incarceration face some of the highest barriers to attaining housing and employment. To prevent recidivism, providers need to be equipped with the tools to support re-entry veterans and ensure they can connect them with wraparound services at the earliest point. In this webinar, we will explore the emerging challenges and opportunities to support formerly incarcerated veterans. Our session will cover how case management can facilitate the connection of wraparound services for re-entry veterans and explore ways to work with jails/prisons to streamline the process.
