April 11 (New Applicants) and April 12 (Returning Applicants and HVRP Staff)

On April 3, 2013, the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS) announced the availability of up to $5 million to fund 16 or more Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) grants. Approximately 2,600 veterans will receive job training and related services to help them succeed in civilian careers. HVRP is the only federal program that focuses exclusively on the employment of veterans who are homeless. Funds will be awarded on a competitive basis to state and local workforce investment boards; local public agencies; and nonprofit organizations, including faith-based and community organizations. HVRP applications are due May 3, 2013.

The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) will hold two separate teleconferences for new applicants (April 11) and returning applicants and existing grantees (April 12) to provide information on the Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA) and HVRP. These calls will cover the same content as the originally scheduled calls on April 9 and 10, which reached full capacity for registration.

Please see below for teleconference descriptions and registration information — each call is targeted to a different audience.
