Whatnot Sellers Unite for Veterans Day Fundraiser
Luxury, collectibles, and community come together to support veterans in need
This Veterans Day, some of the most popular creators on the Whatnot app are teaming up for a one-of-a-kind charity event to benefit the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV).
On November 11 from 7–11 PM ET, four top Whatnot sellers — @JoeHollywood, @LisaSalLuxuryExp, @MarysHouseofStyle, and @GoldPawnership — will host a special livestream event that bridges luxury, collectibles, and community spirit for a powerful cause: ending veteran homelessness.
What Is Whatnot?
For those new to it, Whatnot is a fast-growing live shopping platform where hosts sell items in real time — like a modern, interactive version of a collectible show or QVC, streamed from your phone. Viewers can join live auctions, bid on exclusive items, chat with hosts, and connect with a passionate community around shared interests — from sports memorabilia and trading cards to fashion, sneakers, comics, and vintage goods. Whatnot’s rise has been fueled by its mix of entertainment, social connection, and commerce, making it one of the most vibrant live-selling communities online today. And now, those communities are coming together to give back to veterans.
A First-of-Its-Kind Collaboration
Broadcast live from NCHV’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, the event marks a groundbreaking collaboration between Whatnot’s top personalities and the veteran community. Each seller will host a one-hour segment on their own channel, while audiences are automatically “raided” from one host to the next — creating a single, continuous four-hour experience that connects multiple audiences for one shared cause.
Event schedule:
-
7–8 PM ET: @LisaSalLuxuryExp
-
8–9 PM ET: @MarysHouseofStyle
-
9–10 PM ET: @JoeHollywood
-
10–11 PM ET: @GoldPawnership
Giveaways, Merch, and Mission
Viewers can expect high-end giveaways every hour, including items valued at over $1,000 each, along with exclusive NCHV co-branded merchandise such as tumblers, sticker sheets, and Challenge Coins.
All proceeds from the event (minus Whatnot seller fees) will be donated directly to NCHV, supporting programs that connect veterans with housing, employment, and essential resources across the country.
Spotlight on Service and Leadership
Adding inspiration to the night, Captain Olivia Chavez-Carroll — a Marine Corps veteran and the first minority female pilot to fly both the U.S. Army Chinook and Apache helicopters — will join the livestream.
A decorated combat aviator, Chavez-Carroll is the founder of the Veteran Awareness Project, former chair of the California Department of Veterans Affairs Women Veterans Leadership Council, and now CEO of the New Hanover Brunswick Group, helping businesses grow through federal contracting. Her story of service and perseverance underscores the purpose behind the fundraiser.
A Veteran-Led Idea
The event originated with Lisa Salinas (@LisaSalLuxuryExp) — a 15-year combat veteran who proudly served in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. After connecting with Joe Hollywood through his Whatnot streams, the two realized they shared the same passion for giving back to veterans. Together, they brought in Mary’s House of Style and Gold Pawnership to merge the luxury and collectibles communities for a greater cause.
This collaboration continues Joe Hollywood’s tradition of philanthropy: his previous Whatnot charity streams have raised more than $250,000 for organizations including Toys for Tots, Gilda’s Club, North Texas Food Bank, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
