The Department of Labor (DOL) is hosting a Women Veterans Employment Listening Session on June 19, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET at the DOL office in Washington, D.C.

This facilitated listening session will discuss different topics surrounding women veterans employment challenges, including:

What are the challenges facing women veterans while seeking employment?

Do factors such as childcare, transportation, licensing/credentialing, MST, PTSD impact women veterans’ path to economic security?

Is there a real issue with women veterans not self-identifying as veterans? If so, what do we think the impact is?

What are different communication methods the women veterans’ community may respond to best to ensure access to resources and employment opportunities?

This will be an open discussion, and those who may contribute to this conversation are encouraged to attend. Those planning on being in attendance must RSVP by June 12. Any questions can be addressed to Tonya Thompson at thompson.tonya@dol.gov, or 202-693-6715.
