Charting the Road Ahead: Introducing NCHV’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan
The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans is proud to launch its new five-year strategic plan: Better Together – A Bold Strategy for Veterans’ Success.
This plan marks an exciting new chapter in our shared work to end veteran homelessness. Developed over the course of nine months, the strategy reflects the voices of our coalition—veterans, providers, partners, staff, and board members—and sets a bold direction for where we go next.
A Plan Rooted in Community and Vision
From the beginning, this process was designed to engage and reflect the entire NCHV community. Through interviews, surveys, planning sessions, and retreat conversations, we took time to listen deeply, reflect on the past, and look clearly toward the future.
The result is a forward-looking roadmap grounded in our mission and values. It reaffirms our commitment to veterans and outlines the steps NCHV will take between 2025 and 2030 to grow our impact, strengthen our organization, and support the coalition leading this work nationwide.
Five Strategic Priorities to Drive Progress
The plan is organized around five “North Star” priorities that will guide NCHV’s work over the next five years:
- Expand Our Reach – Grow and strengthen the coalition to increase collective power.
- Prioritize Policy Influence – Lead and shape veteran homelessness policy at all levels.
- Amplify Our Voice – Elevate stories, data, and research to drive awareness and change.
- Diversify and Grow Revenue – Ensure long-term financial sustainability.
- Fortify Our Organization – Strengthen internal operations, staff capacity, and governance.
