The National Veterans Technical Assistance Center (NVTAC) and the ABA Commission on Homelessness & Poverty  are hosted a webinar “Legal Services at Stand Downs” on Thursday, June 15, 2017 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT.

This webinar featured a panel of experts who discussed a variety of legal topics relevant to working with veterans experiencing homelessness. Topics included how to address criminal and civil legal matters and child support issues on-site at Stand Down. Panelists also discussed how to develop initiatives to provide legal services in rural areas.

The webinar featured Steve Binder, San Diego Public Defender, and Sara Sommarstrom, Vetlaw Director of the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.
