For nearly 40 years, NCHV has been advocating for a more comprehensive federal response for veterans experiencing and at-risk of homelessness. Veterans and NCHV members across the country inform our advocacy efforts to improve federal laws, regulations and policies of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other federal agencies whose programs primarily support veterans.
NCHV’s key legislative priorities are detailed in the Policy Priorities brief linked (below on this page). Please review these goals and use the links below to ensure your members of Congress are aware of these priorities and other important issues impacting veterans. Grassroots advocacy and your active participation is the key to our collective strength in Washington, D.C., and ending veteran homelessness.
