NCHV Statement on Dobbs Decision Today, the United States Supreme Court overturned the ruling in Roe v Wade that previously legalized abortions in the United States. This decision removes federal protections for abortion access and the lowest income people in this country are most likely to bear the burden. At NCHV, we are concerned about this decision and the impact it will have on veterans, including those at risk of/experiencing homelessness for several reasons. VA outlines new goals towards ending Veteran homelessness Nationally, VA and its community partners will place at least 38,000 Veterans experiencing homelessness into permanent housing during calendar year 2022.
